Maratha activist Manoj Jarange Patil has once again given one month's time to the government for Maratha reservation, on the other hand, OBC leader Laxman Hake has been on hunger strike for the last eight days demanding reservation for Marathas without compromising OBC reservation. Due to this, his condition has deteriorated at present. Against this backdrop, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar visited the hunger strike site of Laxman Hake on Thursday (June 20). At this time, he called Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and apprised him of the situation. Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar on Thursday arrived to meet Laxman Hake, who is on a hunger strike for the rights of OBCs. Vijay Vadettiwar was seen getting emotional at this time. He was in tears. After discussing with Laxman Hake, he called Chief Minister Eknath Shinde directly from the protest site and complained that the government delegation did not come to the protest site. At this time, the Chief Minister clarified that he will not push the reservation of OBCs. He also said that the state government is sending a delegation to meet Laxman Hake on Friday (June 21). After this, Vijay Vadettiwar interacted with the OBC workers.
Vijay Vadettivar said that positions of power come and go. Even when I was a minister, I was working for the society and will continue to work for the society. This state belongs to Phule-Shahu-Ambedkar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. But today's situation has worsened due to the wrong policy of the government. The government is working to enforce the reservation of our rights. So I have already spoken to the Chief Minister of the state and the government delegation will come here on Saturday. Therefore, we demand the government to look at this movement seriously.
Girish Mahajan has made it clear that the Maratha Reservation cannot be extended beyond its scope. If so, why do you remove the notification? Why do you try to spoil the atmosphere of the state? Such questions were raised by Vijay Vadettiwar. He said that today we should think about who is causing the deterioration of equality in the society. Laxman Hake is an impartial leader. He has previously worked in the State Backward Classes Commission. Vijay Wadettiwar expressed the belief that the OBC community will get justice under his leadership.
